ISA Saving in 2009

Are you considering making an investment in a Fund, or look to open a Saving account? You might be aware of ISA's but not fully understand how an ISA can benefit you and what exactly an ISA is. An ISA Individual Saving Account, is a government introduced Savings Scheme, which allows UK Residents to invest up to £7,200 a year into an ISA, which you should think simply as a Tax Free Wrapper.

Budget Announcement - 2009

The Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced that the annual limit for tax-free ISAs is to rise to more than £10,200 for over-50s this year and for everyone else next year. Of that amount £5,100 can be saved in cash.These higher limits will be available to people aged 50 and over from 6 October 2009 and available to all from 6 April 2010, directly benefiting over five million people who currently use their full ISA allowance.
